For more than fifteen years, Rebecca Penno has been practicing interior design in the Washington, D.C. region after receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design from Marymount University.  As a native Virginian, she leans toward southern traditions with a fresh perspective for inspiration in her design work.

With her years of experience in both new construction and renovations, Rebecca has a strong understanding of the construction process with the ability to walk along side a client through the design from reviewing construction documents to overseeing installations of finished product on their behalf. She’s experienced in collaborating with builders and architects along the way, taking a team approach to bringing a client’s dream home to fruition. Her specialties include interior architecture, finish selections and furnishings.

Rebecca and her team also cater to clients who want to beautify rooms in their existing homes. Whether it’s color consultation, furniture placement or a kitchen renovation, Penno Interiors’ design services are flexible to meet many client’s needs.

Rebecca appeals to each client’s individual taste when executing each design, but she’s grounded in a traditionalist aesthetic, keeping her interiors current by incorporating classic lines and timeless style. The work of Penno Interiors has been featured in Southern Home and Home and Design in addition to a number of local publications. Rebecca lives in Fairfax with her husband, two kiddos and their German Shorthaired Pointer.
