OPERATIONS / PROJECT MANAGER (OPM)
Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced project coordinator to work alongside the design team to manage the day-to-day operations of our projects and business.
The OPM will oversee and manage all purchasing and goods procurement for interior design projects. Utilizing our robust accounting software, Design Manager, the OPM will create and submit all purchase orders, review order acknowledgements for accuracy and receive all vendor invoices for payment requests. Excellent communication with in-house bookkeeper regarding payments required. Attention to detail and expectation for accuracy without continuous oversight is key for this position to succeed.
Tracking orders, scheduling shipments and forecasting deliveries for all client purchases will be a portion of the day-to-day tasks. Client facing professionalism is required while you field questions and follow-ups from sending bi-weekly timeline updates to clients on their purchases.
The OPM is the main point of contact for the receiving warehouse team and ensures all items are received, inspected, and identified to each project. Coordinates all returns, repairs, and deficiencies with warehouse team, manufacturer, and client.
Presence at deliveries and occasional site visits as needed. The OPM must have the physical ability to help carry furniture in the event we need to deliver or swap out a product without a delivery team.
Works alongside our bookkeeper to provide all documentation required for monthly reconciliation is received and properly identified for internal and client accounts.
Assists designers with picking up and returning project samples as needed, reliable vehicle required.
Maintains a stocked pantry, unpacking office deliveries, and update resource library within the office. Manages all inventory delivered to the office for clients or stock.

Qualifications:
2-3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement. Experience in the home building or design industry is a plus.
Extremely organized, strives for accuracy and efficiency, detail oriented. Works well with standards and procedures set in place. Open to improvements and feedback, regular assessments are part of our team building approach.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience in Design Manager is a plus. Training in accounting software Design Manager is required and the ability to catch on quickly is expected. You see technology as your ally, not your enemy.
Must exude a positive attitude to promote the highest regard of customer service to all business relationships. Plus, we just really like to be around happy and friendly people!
Must have a polished and personable communication style and appearance.
Independent, self-motivated yet a strong team player. We all enjoy working together in the office, we would want you too as well.
Clients can often be demanding; thick skin is always helpful but if you don’t have it we’re here to support you.

Details:
Part Time – Full Time (There is flexibility on what availability the right candidate has. At a minimum this is a Part Time position of 25 hours per week. If interested and available this can be a Full Time position.)
Pay Range $39,000-$45,500 (Based on Part Time position); $62,000-$72,800 (Based on Full Time position)
We are a binder system, more paper, less digital office with a positive and energetic atmosphere. Working side-by-side in the design studio is not only fun but crucial to keep the jobs rolling. However, we understand that life and family come first so a flexible work schedule within the McLean office is always part of our plan.
